Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies. Card payments from your clients go straight to your own Stripe account and are separate from any Bilbee plan.
Bilbee is invoicing, expenses and tax for Australian sole traders. It turns your records into a running estimate of the year's tax, and a Simpler BAS worksheet if you're registered for GST.
Is it really just for sole traders?
Yes. Bilbee is built for Australian sole traders who manage their own invoices, expenses and tax records. Explore our pages for tradies, consultants, freelancers, cleaners and gardeners to see how it fits different kinds of work.
How much does Bilbee cost?
Bilbee has three plans. Free costs nothing and covers five invoices a month, for as long as you like. Standard is $15 a month for unlimited invoices, time tracking and a receipt inbox that reads 10 forwarded receipts a month. Pro is $29 a month, with no limit on the receipt inbox and invoices that send themselves. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies. Expenses, receipt uploads, BAS and accountant access are never capped on any plan.
Do I need to be GST registered?
No. Tell Bilbee whether you're registered and it handles GST either way, including the $75k threshold watch so you know when it's worth talking to your accountant. If you drive for a ride-share or taxi service, the ATO requires GST registration from your first trip.
Can my accountant get in?
Yes, for free. Invite them and they get read-only access to your books plus the EOFY pack. One accountant can look after many Bilbee clients.
How do card payments work?
Through your own Stripe account. Clients pay on the hosted invoice page and the money lands with you directly. Bilbee never holds it.
Is my data private?
Every account's records are isolated at the database level, not just in the app. Your books are yours, and you can export everything at any time.
Can I import my bank transactions?
Yes. Import a CSV from your bank and match payments against invoices in a few clicks. Your client list comes across the same way, from a CSV or a Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks export. Past invoices don't come across yet; most people start fresh at the beginning of a quarter.
